M= Student has mastered the skill within the current reading level
N= Student needs support with this skill in order to move to the next level
___Quickly and automatically solves most words in the story while reading           
___Reading dialogue with a lot of feeling that shows understanding of the characters
___Summarizing ideas from a story and tell how different parts of a story are all
___Using personal experiences to place themselves in the shoes of a character in
       order to better understand them
___Using different parts of the story to support statements made about what’s going
       on in the story or about the characters
___Identifying the part of the story where the problem is solved
___Stopping to think about the text to jot ideas and then continue reading
